Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Synopsis: Teen wizard comes into his own while he faces the threat of a major enemy's mysterious past, a surprise crush on best friend's sister, and his two best friends facing their own whole hormonal challenges. All this while attempting to discover who the heck the half-blood prince is and dealing with a teacher who adores fame but pays the price. In the end, Harry battles it all with grace and sophistication, showing that his journey is far from over. (Although we still have two more movies, so truthfully his journey really is FAR FROM OVER!)

Rating: 8/10

Review: This movie was one of the most exciting I've seen yet that didn't have its action in-your-face, like other movies I won't mention because I really don't have to. All the scenes are handled with a tenderness that was missing from most of the HP movies before this. The teen angst in this film does not reach the point of dramatics but is heartwrenching enough to be relatable and not silly. All these elements, plus the actors who seem to really be coming into their own, in line with their characters, make quite a compelling movie. I can say the screen time was a bit lengthy but not enough to make you sleepy or wish it was over. Only enough to check out www.runpee.com, just in case ;D. I definitely say this movie is worth seeing for ANYONE- its a must for fans of the book but enjoyable for newcomers as well.
